Right, guys. But again, I think these are comments from 3 guys who love Mastodon and Jonah Hex separately but wonder who came up with the combination of the two, am I right?
It's like saying I like Iron Man and I like flowers. Hey let's make an Iron Man flower pot!

I've heard of Mastadon, but I don't think I've actually heard their music. Perhaps the'll write music that fits the genre, but with a twist?

Yeah Mike, you're reading us correctly. We like the elements individually... I like chocolate. I like chicken kung po. Despite this, I do not want chocolate covered chicken kung po.
Even if Mastodon adds a bit of a western twist to their music, it still wouldn't fit into what I consider to be the ideal Jonah Hex movie. Maybe if they changed their sound considerably and avoided getting any more distorted or heavy than Neil Young's score for Jarmusch's Dead Man (with Johnny Depp). I could be eating my words after seeing this... but I doubt it.
This is an incredible movie. Combine it with the Leone films and that's my ideal Jonah Hex.
Jonah Hex seems like it will be a western in the same way that Underworld or Van Helsing are horror movies... That is to say, it won't be. It'll be about style, titillation and spectacle, leaving substance and tradition far behind in the dust... The dust from real western movies.
I love lamp too.

HOLY SHIT Josh Brolin was in Thrashin'......RAD!!!! Does Megan Fox even know what movie she's in?
And Mastodon has no place anywhere neat this movie. It'll be like Queen's "We will rock you" in A Knights Tale.

Taken from comicbookmovie.com in January: NO ZOMBIES...this has a background believe it or not, from a terrible script from 1997 [which] had Jonah as a Union spy who wakes up in a southern plantation home with no memory of who he is, and discovers he's disfigured. He later becomes a bounty hunter who is recruited to help stop a Voodoo practitioner who plans on using an army of the undead to free the South from Union rule. This premise was used for Will Smith's "Wild,Wild,Wild West." Well we know how well that turned out. [Wow. Who knew mashing Jonah Hex & Superman together would get you Wild Wild West?] NO VAMPIRES BUT AT LEAST ONE MOUTH-CROW...ome nut from Total Films claims that he has seen the teaser for "Jonah Hex" and claims vampires burst forth from the ground. He does mention the raven crawling out of his mouth though he called it a crow. The raven is right, but the rest is total bull. NOT RE-SHOOTS... EXTENSIONS...others have stated this is because they screwed up scenes. This is far from the actual truth. Jimmy Palmiotti who writes the current series of "Jonah Hex" has stated in the Philadelphia Daily News. "I know for a fact that the shoots on 'Hex' are additional story being added . . . not reshoots." ["This is a great sign because the studio saw the rough cut and loved it, so much so they pushed up the date and decided to put more money into the film."]
