Drinking Oran-gina can put you in something that looks like a Va-gina.

I like the fact they're uesing the old logo again. Now we can only hope the music will be a blast from the past.

I say we dig up Pusshead from whatever box in whatever alley he's living in. He could probably help bring 'Tallica back to when they were viable.

He did work for them for St. Anger... I think he lost his mojo. LOL.

I just wanted to comment on the new single from the new album played on tonight's show:
I got the impression that they were trying to write "One" again. Kirk even reuses an identical run from one of the solos (I hope on purpose, as some kind of a tribute) right within the first minute of this new track. Even the overall structure of the song (length?) is like One where they open with the ballad part of the song, and work their way into the epic metal stuff... only, that formula has been done to death by every metal, grunge and You-Will-Know-Us-By-Our-Theory-Of-A-Nickle-Creed-Bush band ever since the early eighties. It's just not that impressive anymore, especially when Metallica can't seem to do it as well as all the copy cats. I think Ben Meade said it best when he commented that it sounded like a bad Metallica cover band. However, like Remmy, I think the production shows a great improvement. The dry and clean sound is so much better than Bob Kawk's Kawk-Rock Knob-Polish that he puts on everything he touches. It's just too bad Rick Rubin couldn't have had a heavier influence on the song writing and arrangements (specifically the lead guitar parts). The way the solos appear in chunks with drop-outs and pre-school licks is kind of sad and embar-a-ssing. All in all, there was about 45 seconds near the end, and then the very end that sounded cool... I hope the rest of the album heads more towards Motorhead and the Ramones and further away from Queen and Nickleback. (I like Queen by the way)

Yeah, the samples I heard seemed quite incestuous... It's not unheard of an artist coming full circle, but it seems like it's more than just a coincidence.

I personally thought that the mixing was pretty bad. since when does Lars' high hat cymbals get center stage over the guitars and vocals? His drums are waaaaaaaaay too loud in relation to the other instruments.
