I think this could be a fun book.

Yeah, Roux's art is purty and I can't think of a Dini story that I didn't like. I've been waiting for more Zatanna too since Morrison & Sook's 7 Soldiers mini.

My favorite Zatana is when Dini writes her. And I just check out Stephane Roux art gallery and it's gorgeous art.

Picked up issue # 1 yesterday because I love everything about that character. But I was half dreading it as well, because it's very tempting for the Big Two to turn these "girls books" into trash.
I was worried about nothing, we're in good hands with Dini. It's too early to call it a triumph, but Dini was smart enough to make it fun, make her competent, and carve out a unique and potentially interesting niche with the San Fran mystical underground.
If you're looking for something a little different, you could do a lot worse than Dini's Zatanna....
