I love most of Grant Morrison's work, and Batman has always been one of my favourite characters... but I've got to be honest and admit that Grant's recent run on the Dark Knight's main book has failed to hold my attention. I think Tony Daniel's art has more to do with it than the story, but even still, I just can't seem to get into any of it... with exception to this MARVELOUS arc! J.H. Williams (soon to be on Detective Comics) really brings his "A" game (does he even have a "B" game?) to this one, rendering each of the various Bat-men in their own styles, on the same page! Incredible layouts and tone really pay homage both to the silver age of Batman's history, as well as the murder-mystery-in-a-strange-house genre. This arc was only three issues long if I remember correctly, so the TPB, even with extras, is bound to be affordable, and well worth every penny. Check this one out for sure!
