Here's a trailer for the upcoming Planet Hulk DVD. Looks good and surprisingly loyal to the great story that ran in the Hulk comic by Greg Pak.

This one is like Superman: Doomsday for me: I'll watch it, but I won't be buying it. Wasn't a big fan of either of these stories in the comics. Planet Hulk was just too much of a Martian Tales of Edgar Rice Burroughs rip-off for me. For those of you who did enjoy Planet Hulk, and intend to the see the film adaption of the MTofERB, reading the original little pulp books would be worth your while.

jay, i think your selling the plant hulk story arc a little short, that it wasn't enjoyable and a complete rip off. the story arc in hulk i found to be quite enjoyable and the artwork was great. and i actually think it was one of marvel's best big story arc's since house of m. now whether it translates into a good dvd we'll see.

Sorry lincoln, I probably misspoke. I didn't mean it was a "rip-off" as in not worth anybody's money. It was quite a popular series and certainly wouldn't be the first or last time that I didn't get what a majority of comic fans enjoyed. Sometimes when I revisit stuff like this later, I've figured out what I was missing and enjoy it (Bone, Transmetropolitan and the Avengers come to mind). It just hasn't happened yet with Planet Hulk for me.
What I was trying to say was that the story had a lot of similarities to the Edgar Rice Burroughs books IMHO which is why I thought fans of Planet Hulk would enjoy them. Because I prefered the books and because I tend to prefer Hulk on Earth and not too bright, I just didn't get into the comics personally.
Anywho, I obviously didn't think the series was that horrible since I'd like to watch the movie, which looks well made. Maybe Marvel's animation department is looking a little closer at what WB's animation crews do, not unlike WB & their live action people taking note of Marvel's live action approach. ;D
